Once upon a time

Hello there great world. This is, as the sheer nothingness on the site might suggest, the first post of 'em all. Therefore, I suspect you might be wondering why the hell somebody would care to create another useless blog, and more importantly, what the idiot intends to write about?
Well, let me tell you the story right along. Not long ago (around yesterday in fact), a group of friends joined up more or less out of coincidence to play the great game of "Settlers". This game is enourmously epic, and everybody has thus stumbled across it sooner or later in their rather short lifespan (for those who haven't, read: you've wasted your life so far, please get a grib). This awesome game of strategy and whole lot of RNG has fascinated generations before ours, warming up even the coldest of winters with its sheer glory and holiness. Yes, it is indeed often believed that the game laid the foundation for what we have later come to know as "Chess", indeed a cheap ripoff even though the two have nothing in common. Also, what makes it even cooler is that it was invented by a German dentist. Who would've thought?

However, this blog wasn't made to praise the game itself, but rather on the curious project of converting this vast amount of awesome into a PC game. The genius behind the idea is a close friend of mine, though this is mostly because of the fact that he supports the majority of the coke I drink. This blog was therefore made in order to follow the project more closely and reveal to the public how well (or rather, how terribly not well) the project is coming along as the programming itself takes shape. However, it must also be said that any topic of discussion or general likewise piece of interesting gossip regarding the game itself and its future development might also be discussed on the blog. Though most likely, it will not.

To wrap this up, let it therefore be said that "Feottlers" (as the game is going to be called once it has been released by any major corporation) is here to stay!
